obSocialSubmit is a great way for making social media marketing with your Joomla site. It's extendable by installing more intern-addon or extern-addon.
With Ping.FM extern-addon, it adds the power to obSocialSubmit for posting to Ping.FM via its API.
Unfortunately, Ping.FM is now temporary disabled new Application for maintain their system, and sometime the Ping.FM extern-addon becomes useless.
In case, we have an alternative solution with the Email extern-addon. Here is the concept:
- Ping.FM allows to post via email by sending to an secret email address which recognized to your Ping.FM account, the details information can be found at Ping.FM Email.
- The Email extern-addon allows you to post content from your Joomla site to specific email address(es).
Well, here we go:
- Install obSocialSubmit extension to your Joomla site.
- Install Email extern-addon to your obSocialSubmit, details instruction can be found here.
- Go to Ping.FM Email, and get your own secret email address.
- Put the email address from 3. to Email extern-addon.
- DONE.
