Well, this the 3rd component I have from foobla, and the product is working fine as said. Installed and up and running in mints. And I like the add-on option, as it open doors to any script or component I have to be integrated in obRSS.
But I am writing this review because I really like the support provided by the developers. Simply they fix, update and even do custom works to go with your site, in the same day!
I think the support is the most important thing when you run a site that must be 24/7 online. And the guys at foobla.com provide excellent support.

Previously I had bought a component from Foobla which is the Social Submit. From my experience with the quality of Foobla’s products I bought this component for RSS Feed about 6 months ago.
In my research in Joomla; I have tested most of Joomla components both on J 1.5 and J 1.7 and Foobla is among my top 3 Developers for Reliable Joomla products and outstanding Support.
Because of the qualities this product offers and the unique features it has, I decided to add this transparent review not just to say thank you to Foobla, but to also allow excellent products to stand out from the crowed.
I do believe I’m not in the business of recommending products, but I am an advocate of sharing experience.
Here are the elements for this REVIEW:
- A full evaluation of the extension:
I have bought this component with all of its plugins, internal and external ones. It is simply excellent. It works and delivers its purpose.
As Joomla 1.7 emerged, Foobla did accommodate it with a new release. However, there were some functions not fully explored such as Multilingual Support for the Multi-Menu system, and guess what! As soon as expressed my interest to have those function, a day later it was made on my live site and a new archive was issued including the new updates as a core release.
The nice thing about this component is the fact that gives you so many functionalities, whiter you want to have your RSS XML on your site, or sent via emails, or even to integrate with Feedburner. In fact, it does all of that and it integrates just about all of what you have installed in the backend.
- Ease of usage and deployment:
Nothing much, just install it through the backend, and then go the obRSS Control Panel. Once there, just add a new feed, and you are up and running in 1 minute. If you are sophisticated, you can configure various sections, and various categories. If you have CCK, you can integrate that in as well. If you think it is difficult, email them, I am sure they would be happy to do it for you!
- Level of support received:
The support is the best support I have seen, and is genuine. Sometimes you are answered within hours, and if not, next-day you get your support depending on location and time variance!. So they are really good compared to others.
- Courtesy and Honesty:
They are very decent team, who appreciates feedback!
- Pros & Cons of the extension and its performance:
The extension is really good, and I believe it the best one out there. I had inquired about having a plugin for a CCK I have, and they made it for me. After that plugin, the CCK developer released a new framework, and I contacted Foobla, they developed a plugin again, and sent to me within 4 days.
- Purpose of using the extension:
I use this extension to update other networks of our web updates and new items. Nice broadcasting to keep everyone everywhere well informed. I also have it emails those broadcast, so I am 360. Another unique feature is that the component has a frontend so you can subscribe using Feed Readers. This is one great product.
- Level of difficulty:
Not difficult at all, it is extremely easy.
This is the best money spent, and I truly recommend it to everyone. You do not just get the best RSS component; you get Foobla as your support.

I wasn't sure I needed this extension, but after using it I was quite pleased. I cam up with some issues (on y end) and support was very quick even working on it at 6pm at night.
If you need a RSS extension you don't have to look any farther than obRSS.

Simply the most sophisticated rss feeder. Well designed and professionally done, customizable with great features such as tags stripping, exclusion; provides granular control of feed content. Easily customizable to work with 3rd party components. Custom work meeting all requirements and delievred in matter of days, great to work with.

Before I bought this and it's accompanying Adsmanager plugin I sent the developers a question to ensure that it would do everything I needed it to as some of the details were a bit vague. They got back to me within a couple of hours so I then proceeded to purchase it for use on a clients website.
Unfortunately the component didn't work straight away and wouldn't create valid RSS URLs or copy across images. I once again contacted the devs who were more than happy to help and after giving them admin access to the site went into the back-end and fixed all the problems for me.
Overall product is pretty good but the support was superb.

I spent a few days looking for an rss component por my travel portal and finally i came accross obRSS. The management is very easy, great extensions handling and a lot of professional features. Support is very fast, i needed a custom addon for a non supported extension and it was ready in a few days!

It took my a while to find the right rss component that would fit my needs. Now I can say I fonw what I was looking for, and much more ;)Great Component, with a alot of aditional addons. Yes it is a little on the high side pricewise, but you get much more than just another Jomla component. What you get ist outstanding support. I had some minor problems after the installation, those where fixed within the shortest period of time.Also, I am using a rather "exotic" component and I also needed RSS for that one, no problem. For a very reasonable price you can get a working addon for almost anything you can come up with.

The component works perfectly under Joomla 1.5 as Joomla 1.6.We needed a customization : obRSS will have to pick the keyword from the "keyword" field of articles's metedata. For a plugin that is so perfectly suited for your Joomla! site, its surprising that this amazing component has yet to be rendered part of the Joomla! core! While not without its quirks, obRSS is hands-down the best way to disseminate your content to the masses.

If I had one criticism of the extension, it would be a lack of documentation of any kind. However, the extension is very intuitive, and we are developing instructions for our recycling buyers so they will know how to use this tool to keep up with new sales on our site.

I have been using this feed generator for a while now and I have found it to be quite robust. My favorite feature, out of anything, is that I can contact them and they will generate an add-on for components I have that do not have feeds. This feature has allowed me to quickly have feeds available on my site.

Just downloaded obRSS a couple of days ago and it has already completely replaced all of my originally feeds with toes I have created in obRSS.
obRSS wasen't made for my native language, but minuts after my support ticket, I received a new edition with my native language.
I also needed an extension for the component, which were no problem for the Foobla crew. Just made a support ticket, and one day after I recived a perfect extension for my other component. Great job!
I can strongly recommend obRSS and Foobla!

There's a whole lot of RSS feed creators available for Joomla. Most of them are free. Most of them work fine. But none of them hold a candle to obRSS. I know, because I tried them all. The two big difference-makers: - flexibility - level of support With the extensive list of add-ons available for obRSS, you can include just about anything from your Joomla web site into your RSS feed. It's incredibly convenient, and it works well. And if you ever have an issue, the support staff is top notch. I had trouble figuring out a simple issue, and they got it resolved to my satisfaction within mere seconds. When support is this good, it's well worth paying for. I had my doubts at first. Why bother paying for a component that provides the same functionality as other free components? The answer is simple: the makers of obRSS work really hard to make you a satisfied customer. It's worth every penny.

I was a novice en joomla and needed to set a RSS system. But I don't like text RSS. I use k2 in my site. After a lot of hours spended trying to set k2 RSS, I found foobla. Installed it in a few clicks, and running. After done, I asked Thong for change some settings, as position of the image, labbels in the feed, and another for a nice RSS like spanish newspaper. Next day, Thong had made all for me. And my RSS are showing very nice, just as I liked.
Great and excellent component. Easy to use, powerfull, and with one of the best support I have found.
It's no easy to found RSS working perfectly for K2. This is one. Still I have to dedicate time for making a home page for all the feeds, and some improvements more. I know that when I have time to do it, thong will be here for helping me.

I was very skeptical about this product as there're so many rubbish floating on the market these days. But as I needed it, I had to buy and it's a big surprise! My core and my components are quite not up to date, but they help explain and even help you to go line by line, until it's done.

This is a great joomla component, very clear and in general doing it's job in a great manner.
If now on the above, you add the great support of the developers you have a perfect tool for your joomla site.
I also have to add that it's support for the custom flexicontent fields that only this component offers (custom addon) makes it a unique solution for flexicontent sites that need an rss feed output!!!

I have downloaded hundreds of extensions in the five years that I have been using Joomla. This extension gets my highest rating based upon functionality, presentation/design and the incredible support provided by its developer.
Having used the older JLord version of the feed for some time, I asked Thong Tran if he could add an option to randomize the order of articles within the feeds themselves. This would enable me to promote my content on Twitter, Facebook and similar services at set intervals without actually having to attend to them manually.
Within a very short time, Thong added the feature. It works perfectly and enables me to "tweet" about my content without lifting a finger. I just set the cache to the intervals I want (which tends to be daily so as not to become a pest to my followers), feed the RSS into Twitterfeed or similar services, and have instant regular tweets.
Now, I only add tweets manually when the spirit hits me. But I'm always promoting our content over the social web without the effort it takes to do this manually.
I also like the way Foobla presents a page of feeds with various links to feed readers. Having tested many RSS extensions, this is by far the best I have seen and undoubtedly the best supported.

Our school district has 9 sites. Using RSS Feed Creator to feed content from the district site to each of the individual school sites saves a lot of time and makes communication easier. I had some difficulty as documentation isn't up to date with current version of the component. Tech support was good and helped me sort out configuration. I'm a fan.

I bought RSS Factory thinking it would be good.. they are two different products techbnically, but this one does so much more, along with Slick RSS and Im set. I lost money with RSS Factory, but the look and feel of this, frontend and backend is worth the money.

I was looking a long time for this great RSS Feeder. It's easy to use and can do all the needs what a RSS Feeder has to do. I'm working with it now for some days and everything is running fine. I was trying some other RSS components, but this one is by far the best and is worth its price. As for me, search engine optimized programming is important, this was of course also crucial for me to decide this component. Namely, the component supports the two Joomla SEF components, Artio JoomSEF and sh404SEF. Moreover, it should be mentioned that the support from JLord is excellent and fast. jLord RSS does exactly what it says and more. It has made the readership to my site go up and has made it easier for our viewers to obtain information from our site which is updated daily. Also, the developer has given the best support that I have ever had in dealing with Joomla... and that includes dealing with freelance developers. I would recommend this component as a solid RSS option for your site.

After trawling for an extension that will allow me to create precise and relevant feeds for several days, I'm astounded that I missed this one. having downloaded and "played" with it for a few hours, learning a few tricks on using Sections and Categories along the way, I vote this to be the best by far for Joomla 1.5 and well worth the price. It's easy to install and intuitive to use but just one thing - when you're first setting up, disable the cache or you won't see your changes in real time. Highly recommended!

I've tried and used a number of RSS components on Joomla 1.0 and 1.5 sites. JLord's RSS feed creator is the best one I've used. It was very easy to install and set up. I had one small problem getting it to display a specific feed category. This just turned out to be a simple cache issue that I'd overlooked. Not a problem with the component itself. I sent in a support request and got a super fast response, and the problem was solved within a few minutes. An excellent product and a first rate service.

Recently purchased a multiple site license and lifetime upgrades for this extension. For the cost and the power, it's well worth the small investment. On a lot of sites, it runs right out of the box with no problems at all. On the sites it doesn't work right out-of-the-box with...you'll be treated to the fastest and most responsive customer support I've ever experienced with an extension (I literally had the answer to my problem inside of five minutes of submitting my problem's details.). HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I was desperate for an RSS feed that would group all my articles from all my sections together, and this is what this extension has done. It is only a Beta release, so there are still some bugs, but Thong Tran has given me excellent support, and there is a new release coming out tomorrow that will address some issues I have already identified. I trust Thong will have everything rolling smoothly on this extension very shortly. Great work! And worth the small fee (20% of which Thong will donate back to Joomla! Win-win).

This is what I was looking for. I wanted the ability to have the "latest news" from several different sections of my Joomla 1.5 website in one rss feed. I was using RD RSS for my Joomla 1.0 site to create RSS feeds of my Joomla content but it does not support Joomla 1.5. Until recently I had not found any RSS syndication for Joomla 1.5 except what is included natively in Joomla 1.5 which is not configurable. I was excited to try it out and it works just as advertised. I quickly was able to create a Joomla RSS feed which included the sections I wanted.
