Today, we released 2.1 version for the AdsManager addon for obRSS, which make it pretty flexible to filter by particular fields with a specific value, as well as manage the output of the Feed; each AdsManager Ad field will be a place-holder in Feed item title & description.

Several months ago, a couple of customers whom using obRSS with RSS Merger addon got trouble with merging internal RSS Feeds together, however merging external RSS Feeds was working perfectly.

We're now figured out the problem (something regarding DNS issue) and a new version immediately released to the public (2.1 version).

In this version, we added a seperated field to select internal RSS Feeds instead of coping & pasting them from browser which may get DNS issue.

Early today, we released the new version of obRSS on both 1.5/2.5 and 3.0 versions. Basically, this new release is for fixing SEF issue in some cases as well as improve JSON feed with callback function.

Recently, we have released obRSS 1.9 version which plenty of new features.

After a week, we found several issues with that new release because of new features. This version 1.9.1 is bug-fixes release which fixed:

FLEXIcontent RSS Feed, by obRSS, 2.0 version has just relased which support FLEXIcontent 2.x version.

In this version, we have implemented some improvements to make FLEXIcontent RSS Feed better as well as better performance.

Just a few minutes ago, we released obRSS 1.9 which improved SEF URL prefix for Feeds.

In the case of making your Feed SEF URL prefix with .rss, .xml or .json, you need to slightly modify your .htaccess file (you can find it at JOOMLA_FOLDER/.htaccess). Here is the instruction to modify it:

Find above line (if you didn't make any change for the file, it is probably the line #68):

RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} /component/|(/[^.]*|\.(php|html?|feed|pdf|vcf|raw))$ [NC]

Replace it by:

RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} /component/|(/[^.]*|\.(php|html?|feed|rss|atom|json|pdf|vcf|raw))$ [NC]

If you want to add more URL prefix, just follow that format to add more, whatever you want.

For example, for newsml URL prefix, you can add it like this:

RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} /component/|(/[^.]*|\.(php|html?|feed|rss|atom|json|newsml|pdf|vcf|raw))$ [NC]

About 12 hours ago, a dear customer of ours, J. Coleman, requested to make the rss show the oldest event first. A new version of RSEvents Pro, 2.2 released which added Ordering parameter which allow J. Coleman to sort his events descending or ascending.
